Product Description
This Ivonescimab biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Ivonescimab, making it ideal for research use. Ivonescimab is a humanized, tetravalent bispecific IgG1-based antibody that simultaneously targets human PD-1 and VEGF-A. Its symmetric IgG-scFv architecture consists of an anti-VEGF-A IgG backbone with anti-PD-1 single-chain variable fragments (scFvs) fused to the C-termini of the heavy chains, providing two VEGF-A- and two PD-1-binding sites. By simultaneously blocking PD-1 checkpoint signaling and neutralizing VEGF-A, Ivonescimab combines immune checkpoint inhibition with suppression of VEGF-mediated angiogenesis and immunosuppression. The tetravalent architecture is designed to promote cooperative target engagement within the tumor microenvironment, where VEGF-A concentrations are elevated, potentially enhancing PD-1 blockade at sites of disease. This Ivonescimab biosimilar is well suited for studying PD-1 biology, VEGF-mediated angiogenesis, immune–vascular crosstalk, tumor microenvironment remodeling, dual checkpoint/anti-angiogenic strategies, and for benchmarking the therapeutic antibody's mechanism of action and activity in pre-clinical experimental systems.
