Product Description
This Istiratumab biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Istiratumab, making it ideal for research use. Istiratumab is a bispecific monoclonal antibody that simultaneously targets human insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) and ERBB3 (HER3), two receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor cell proliferation, survival, and resistance signaling. IGF-1R and HER3 signaling pathways can cooperate to promote activation of downstream PI3K/AKT and MAPK pathways, contributing to tumor growth and therapeutic resistance in multiple solid tumors. By binding both IGF-1R and HER3, Istiratumab is designed to inhibit ligand-dependent receptor activation, disrupt compensatory signaling between these pathways, and suppress downstream pro-survival signaling. This dual-targeting approach provides a valuable model for studying receptor crosstalk and combination pathway inhibition in oncology.
