Product Description
This Emicizumab biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Emicizumab, making it ideal for research use. Emicizumab is a humanized bispecific antibody that simultaneously binds human activated coagulation factor IX (FIXa) and factor X (FX), functionally mimicking the cofactor activity of activated factor VIII (FVIIIa) by bringing FIXa and FX into close proximity to promote FX activation and downstream thrombin generation. Unlike many bispecific antibodies that function through blocking or immune cell redirection, Emicizumab acts as a bridging molecule that restores coagulation activity in the absence of functional FVIII. This unique mechanism makes it a valuable research tool for studying coagulation biology, hemophilia A disease mechanisms, thrombin generation, and engineered bispecific antibody function. This Emicizumab biosimilar is well suited for investigating coagulation cascade biology, FVIII replacement strategies, hemostatic mechanisms, and for benchmarking the therapeutic antibody’s mechanism of action in pre-clinical experimental systems.
