Product Description
This biosimilar antibody shares the same variable regions as Izalontamab, making it well suited for research applications. Izalontamab is a bispecific antibody combining a Human IgG1 with two ScFv that simultaneously targets epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (HER3), two receptor tyrosine kinases frequently overexpressed in solid tumors. EGFR and HER3 drive tumor cell proliferation, survival, and resistance to targeted therapies, and their co-engagement allows Izalontamab to overcome the compensatory signaling and resistance mechanisms that often limit single-target approaches.
The therapeutic form of this antibody, Izalontamab brengitecan, is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) in which Izalontamab serves as the targeting moiety for a cytotoxic payload delivered to EGFR/HER3-expressing tumor cells.
