Product Description
This Vudalimab biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Vudalimab, making it ideal for research use. Vudalimab is a humanized IgG1-based bispecific antibody that simultaneously targets human programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1; PDCD1; CD279) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4; CD152), two inhibitory immune checkpoint receptors that regulate T-cell activation and antitumor immunity. The molecule combines an anti-PD-1 IgG arm with an anti-CTLA-4 single-chain variable fragment (scFv) to enable dual checkpoint targeting within a single molecule. By simultaneously engaging PD-1 and CTLA-4, Vudalimab inhibits two complementary mechanisms of T-cell suppression and is designed to preferentially target T cells co-expressing both checkpoints, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes. Dual checkpoint blockade can restore T-cell activation, proliferation, and cytotoxic immune responses within the tumor microenvironment. This Vudalimab biosimilar is well suited for studying PD-1 and CTLA-4 biology, T-cell exhaustion, dual checkpoint blockade, tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte function, and for benchmarking the therapeutic antibody's mechanism of action in pre-clinical experimental systems.
