Product Description
This Abituzumab biosimilar antibody is a humanized IgG2κ monoclonal antibody that targets human integrin αV (CD51), a transmembrane protein that forms heterodimeric integrin receptors with multiple β subunits, including β1, β3, β5, β6, and β8. These integrins mediate cell adhesion, migration, extracellular matrix interactions, and signaling pathways involved in angiogenesis, tissue remodeling, and tumor progression. Abituzumab binds the αV subunit and inhibits the activity of multiple αV-containing integrins, reducing integrin-mediated cell adhesion and migration. Preclinical studies have demonstrated inhibition of tumor progression and metastasis-associated processes, including suppression of focal adhesion kinase (FAK), AKT, and ERK signaling in prostate cancer models. Abituzumab has been investigated clinically for solid tumors and fibrotic diseases, including metastatic colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease.
