Product Description
This Erenumab biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Erenumab, making it ideal for research use. Erenumab is a fully human IgG2 monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor (CGRPR), a heterodimeric complex composed of calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) and receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1). The CGRPR is expressed on vascular smooth muscle cells, sensory neurons, and components of the trigeminovascular system, where CGRP signaling drives vasodilation, neurogenic inflammation, and pain transmission associated with migraine pathophysiology. By binding the CGRPR, Erenumab prevents ligand engagement and downstream signaling, thereby inhibiting CGRP-mediated neurovascular activation. This Erenumab biosimilar is well suited for studying CGRPR biology, neurovascular signaling, pain mechanisms, and for benchmarking therapeutic receptor blockade in pre-clinical experimental systems.
