Product Details

This non-therapeutic biosimilar antibody uses the same variable regions as the therapeutic antibody Isatuximab, making it ideal for research use. Isatuximab is a chimeric IgG1 monoclonal antibody that specifically targets human CD38, a multifunctional transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed on malignant plasma cells and other hematologic tumor cells, but also found at lower levels on subsets of immune cells such as NK cells, regulatory T cells, B cells, and some myeloid cells. CD38 has both receptor and ectoenzyme functions, contributing to cell adhesion, signal transduction, calcium mobilization, and NAD+ metabolism. By binding CD38, Isatuximab induces tumor cell death through multiple mechanisms including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), and direct pro-apoptotic signaling. In the clinic, Isatuximab is approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma, where it has shown efficacy in reducing tumor burden and extending survival when combined with standard-of-care therapies. This Isatuximab biosimilar is well suited for studying CD38 signaling, plasma cell biology, tumor immunology, immune regulation, and therapeutic strategies targeting multiple myeloma and other CD38-positive malignancies.
