Product Description

CPB538 is a recombinant 1+1 bivalent T-cell–redirecting bispecific antibody structured after Erlanatamab but designed to simultaneously bind murine CD3ε and mouse/human BCMA (TNFRSF17/CD269). By bringing CD3-positive murine T cells into close proximity with BCMA-expressing target cells, this molecule is intended to promote target-dependent T-cell activation, immune-synapse formation, and cytotoxic elimination of BCMA-positive plasma-cell or myeloma-model targets. The D265A Fc substitution is incorporated to attenuate Fc-mediated interactions—particularly complement activation and Fcγ receptor–dependent effector activity—so that functional activity is driven predominantly by the CD3 × BCMA bridging mechanism rather than nonspecific Fc engagement. Use of a mouse IgG1 isotype prevents anti-drug immune responses in immunocompetent mouse models, enabling more interpretable repeat-dose pharmacology, efficacy, and tolerability studies. This reagent is useful for preclinical evaluation of BCMA-directed T-cell redirection, including target-dependent T-cell activation and cytotoxicity, BCMA-positive plasma-cell or myeloma-cell depletion, and efficacy and tolerability studies in immunocompetent mouse models expressing mouse or human BCMA.
